| History of the Veteran's Voice of America Fund |
The Veterans’ Voice of America Fund (VVOAF) is a 501(c)(3) charitable corporation,
created to raise the funds to restore the
Bethany Relay Station and turn it into the Voice of America Museum.
Ninety percent of all donations to the VVOAF are spent on facility restoration
or in support of the VOA Museum.
The Veterans’ VOA Fund has no paid staff, merely volunteers dedicated to creating
a Museum documenting the past, present, and future of the Voice of America.
The Voice of America, the official location of which is in Washington D.C.,
recognizes this facility as its only Museum.
The VVOAF has a legal agreement with West Chester Township, Ohio, which owns
the facility, wherein the Township determines the priority of needs in the
restoration of the building, selects the contractors, and oversees all work
done. The VVOA’s responsibility is to raise the funds needed, provide
volunteers to act as tour guides for the museum and help with community
awareness and fund raising events for the VOA Museum.
